Julia D. (Thomas) Cordle, age 63, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her residence. Retired from Frank Gates Service Company. Member American Legion #144 and VFW #7005. Preceded in death by: Husband: Jennings "J.R." Cordle. Parents: Ronald and Sarah "Janie" Thomas. Sister: Minnie Smallwood. Brothers: James, Robert and Ronald Thomas. Survived by: Daughter: Jennifer Cordle. Granddaughters: Sarah and Alivia Cordle. Sisters: Maggie (Bill) Bishop, Port Charlotte, FL., Audrey Kinder, Arlington, VA., and Rosa Franke, Lancaster, OH. Numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St., Sunday, 4-7 PM where service will be held 10:00 AM Monday. Interment Alton Cemetery.
