In February, I called on a weekend to make cremation arrangements after my dear brother, Tim, passed away unexpectedly. On Saturday, I spoke to Steve and he kept in contact by texting me. I was expecting the planning process to be complex, but, although it was very emotional, it felt “easy”, especially because Jennifer always responded so quickly to my emails and texts. The most heartwarming moments for me were: notifying me when Tim had been released from the coroner’s office and would remain in the care of the funeral home; Jennifer’s inclusion of the Beatles “Imagine” lyrics during the cremation; notification before the cremation began so our family could pray during that sacred interval; setting aside a portion of the cremains so we could honor a compromise our family had agreed upon to scatter some cremains near his “home away from home” in Hilliard where he had developed friendships with people who were “like family” to him; and, to bury the remaining cremains, so he can rest in eternal peace near our parents’ gravesite.
Our family lives 100 miles north of Hilliard, so on the day before we were planning on going to Hilliard when Jennifer asked if we could pick up the cremains at the West Broad St. location, I knew that would interfere with appointments we had scheduled in Hilliard. We were so grateful when she made accommodations for us to pick up at the Hilliard funeral home.

You always handle everything very well. You are very good to me and my family and friends. Thank you all.

Jennifer was very helpful and understanding and listened to me as I rambled and she did everything I asked for, being my husband didn't want anything se we just had a gathering.

David's family arrived from out of town expecting to have not a great experience, but they left feeling comfort and closure. It was a very hard time for us on October 27th when we had to let Grandpa pass on so he was longer suffering. Then even harder on November 2, 2020 when we had to say our see you laters. But you guys did an exceptional job on Grandpa. He looked so young & at peace! We couldn't of asked for a better staff to help us there either! I was really over joyed with the help and kindness of the staff. I asked to decorate and they let me. I asked if we could play live music and they let me. They let me come in early and decorate the night before. They were patient and kind. Jennifer worked with me and I can't say enough about her great customer service. She is excellent. Jeff helped me at the end of the funeral get a necklace and scarf and pin off my daughter. He cut her hair for me so I could have some. He was great and so gentle and kind. I dropped off my daughters clothes and Larry welcomed me in and let me sit to wait on Jennifer while she was waiting on another customer. He talked to me and was very nice and he took the clothes. From beginning to end the service was great. They also helped me collect some money to help with the expense of the funeral. This is a great group of people that work at the W. Broad St. location. Web obit a very nice alternative to the very pricey dispatch obits. I got good feedback from many friends and students about how nice they thought the obit was. Bob & Jennifer both deserve gold stars for their efforts. They made the paperwork easy & fast. Anything we needed all we had to do was ask and it was done.

I am so pleased with everything you did for Helen Shook's passing. Her hair and makeup were perfect and you did everything just like I wanted. One other thing that I really appreciated were the memorial cards with the hummingbird on it. She just loved to watch the hummingbirds from her window.
