Jo-Ann Pettit

Jo-Ann Marie Pettit, age 84, went to her eternal Home on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Mt Carmel West. Jo-Ann was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Alva and Evelyn Jones on February 11, 1932. An active member of Avondale United Methodist Church for over 75 years, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved playing cards with the "Better Halves" euchre club and with her high school friends club, KTC. Jo-Ann was also a member of the Columbus Firefighters Wives Auxiliary. Preceded in death by her parents and husband Tom Sr., her one and only true love. Survived by sons, Tom (Cathy) and Tim (Brenda) Pettit. Grandchildren, Heather Pettit, Lesa (Eric Kistler) Matheny, Holly (Lincoln) Elston and Timmy II (Katie Carte) Pettit. Great grandchildren, Jakson Matheny, Emeri and Maklynn Elston. Brother, Paul (Janie) Pettit. Cousins, Jack and Kay Barr. Special friends, Betty King and Betty Penwell as well as her beloved beagle, Lily. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St., Tuesday, 4-8 PM, where service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday. Pastor Kevin Chambers officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
