Robert Moreland

Robert “Bob” Eugene Moreland passed away Saturday May 9, 2020 at home with his family by his side. Bob grew up in Ringold, GA where he learned to drive a semi-truck at the age of 17, and he instantly fell in love with the freedom of traveling all over the USA. He drove a semi for many years and was able to take his longtime girlfriend Anita with him on many trips, where they both enjoyed each other’s company and the freedom of the open road. Bob enjoyed wood working, Sci-Fi shows, audio books, and loved spending time with his loved ones. On beautiful days, he enjoyed being outside and cooking food on the grill.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father Mabel Orene & Clarence “Red” Moreland, and his stepson William Benson. He is survived by his longtime love Anita Benson, son & daughter in law Adam (Nikki) Moreland, step daughter Tina Ouellette, grandchildren Noah and Abby Moreland, brother Jerry “Wesley” Moreland, nieces Samantha Alley, Stephanie Nappier, and a host of other family and friends who loved him. Bob will be dearly missed.

Close friends and family may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St., Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 12-2 PM where service will follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor John Scroggins officiating.
