Lakshmi Nandula left for heavenly abode on April 10th at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Visakhapatnam, India to Kesavram Murthy and Lily Duvvuri. She graduated from St. Joseph’s High School and received a B.A and M.A. in English Literature from Andhra University. She served as an Assistant Director at the Ohio Department of Education. She was passionate about ensuring equal education for all children and worked tirelessly to deliver on those goals. Anyone who met Lakshmi remembers her as an individual who had a zest for life. She deeply impacted the lives she touched through her limitless compassion, strong support, effortless humor, and impressive intellect. Her spirit continues to be the strength and guiding light to her family. She is survived by her husband, Ramgopal; her son, Sri; her daughter, Vimala; her siblings Mani, Seetharam, and Sastry and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and others are invited to attend the celebrations of her life. Funeral services will be held at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory, 2693 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, April 12th, starting at 11am and a memorial at the Powell Community Center in Powell, Ohio on Friday, April 13th at 7pm.
