John A Schmitz

John A Schmitz, age 77 was taken to his heavenly home on December 3, 2020. He was born 11-28-1943 in Columbus Ohio. He was the third son of Peter and Hazel Schmitz (deceased 1971). He was a graduate of Aquinas Highschool (1961) and a graduate of Devry University. He was employed at Metal Container Corporation as an electrician and he was the owner of Schmitz Electric for 45 plus years. He was also employed at Schaffer Distributing and Industrial Nucleonics. John was clean and sober for 35 years and was actively involved in AA. John was blessed with two surviving brothers, Joseph and Peter and sister Mary. Preceded in death by his son, Steven, daughter Tracy and brother Philip. Survived by the Mother (Kathleen Baisden) of his children including his daughters, Kim Conley (Pat), Suzanne Schmitz (Dan), and Stacy Schmitz (Jeremy). Also including his grandchildren, Alex Schmitz (Bethany), Kaylee Schmitz, Ryan and Kyle Conley, and Great Grandson Abel Schmitz. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Capital City Hospice and Central Ohio Group Fellowship (AA).
