Geraldine Esther Stollenwerk, age 103, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at National Church Residences of Lincoln Village. She was a woman of unceasing faith in God and her faith never wavered. Geraldine was a life long learner and had an extremely strong intellectual curiosity. Longtime member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church since 1970, where she founded the Wednesday Intercessory Prayer Group. She was a eucharistic minister at Doctor's Hospital for decades. Graduate of Ursula Academy High School in Toledo, OH., then went on to receive her Bachelor's of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Mary Manse College, also in Toledo, OH. Geraldine retired as a Biology and Science teacher, as well as a librarian. She also worked as a scientist and a chemist for Signal Corps, during World War II. One of her many skills was working with Fiber Arts, excelling in weaving, knitting, sewing and crocheting. Geraldine also loved to travel. Preceded in death by, parents, Norbert and Eva Fox, husband, Bill Stollenwerk, brothers and sister, Robert, Marcellian, Valerian and Patricia. Survived by, children, Mark (Ann) Stollenwerk, Debbie Stollenwerk, Sue (Tom) Cebulko, David Stollenwerk, Dan (Daniela) Stollenwerk and Carol Stollenwerk, grandchildren, Andy, Chris (Alicia), Patrick (Melanie), Kara (Brady), Nick (Kara), Brad (Kennedy),Sandro, Stefano, Marinella, Michael (April), Kristin, Sarah and Hannah, brother, Gregory Fox, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Rd., Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass, 10 AM Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Father Craig Eilerman, Celebrant. Interment Alton Cemetery.
