Donna Smith

Donna Marie Smith, age 78, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Dublin Methodist Hospital.  She helped to start the Smith-Purdum Insurance Agency alongside her husband Richard. An avid golfer and boater, she was a longtime member of Oakhurst Country Club and the Scioto Boat Club, before retiring to Naples, FL for the last 15 years. She will be missed. Preceded in death by, grandson, Ryan Patrick Neimeister, parents, Paul and Margaret Sweeney, brothers and sisters. Survived by, loving husband of 59 years, Richard, children, Kimberly (Tom) Gilles, Kara (Dan) Neimeister and Rick (Tracey) Smith, grandchildren, T.J. (Lauren Eddingfield) Gilles, Emily Gilles, Adam Gilles, Sean (Madison) Neimeister, Kyle Neimeister, Colin Neimeister, Elizabeth (Adam Stiff) Altizer, Dustin Luther, Ashley (Max) Baig, Joey Corfios, Nick Smith and Alex Smith, great grandchildren, Orin, Jamie and Brody, sisters, Eileen Patterson and Margaret "Peggy" Sweeney, numerous other family and friends. Arrangements are being completed with JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St Jude at www.stjude.org or Nationwide Children's Hospital, in her name.
