Donald Martin

Donald Daniel Martin, age 88, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Mill Run Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the owner/operator of The Don Martin Company, a commercial drywall contracting firm. Longtime member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, even building the new church when it was constructed. 1953 graduate of Columbus West High School. Veteran United States Navy, even playing basketball for them while he was enlisted. An avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, he attended every game for 40 years, tailgated for them all, including the bowl games and he saw every Big Ten Stadium. He lived a full life and he will be missed. Preceded in death by, wife, Diane, parents, Clarence and Ruth Martin, brother, James Martin, sister, Virginia Brady, nephews  Jeff Brady and Steve Martin. Survived by, sons, Mike (Pam) Martin and Chris (Melanie) Martin, grandchildren, Teresa (Scott) Faun, Michael Martin, Nick Martin and Tony Martin, great grandchildren, Adrian, Vada and Madilyn, nephew Gary (Jennifer) Brady, numerous other family and friends. Funeral Mass, 10 AM Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Father Thomas Buffer, Celebrant. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery.
