Craig Alan Eagle

Craig Alan Eagle stepped into the arms of Jesus on January 26, 2021 from the effects of colon cancer. Craig was born February 13, 1955 to the late Peggy and Dick Eagle. He graduated from Grandview Heights High School in 1973 and worked for NAPA, BancOhio, Lutheran Social Services, and for many years at The Columbus Dispatch.

Craig is survived by his daughter, Helena Eagle; grandson Carter Anthony; brother David (Mindy); sister Beth Beatty (Bill;) and many nieces and nephews.

Craig loved fast cars and was well known in Grandview for driving loud cars way too fast. Eventually he discovered the joy of racing his car at National Trail Raceway, where he spent a lot of time on weekends. Craig was also an accomplished guitarist and played in many bands around Columbus for almost 40 years. His music brought him great joy, and many friends, and made him well known in lots of local establishments. He also enjoyed target silhouette shooting in his adult years and established many friendships that were important to him. Craig loved to laugh, had many great friends his entire life, and was loved by all who knew him. More than a few of us can still hear that loud laugh whenever we think of him.

We will have a Celebration of Craig’s life on what would have been his 66th birthday, Saturday, Febuary 13th from 2-4PM. Friends may gather during that time, and we’ll have a time of sharing “Craig stories” at 3:00. The celebration will be held at Jerry Spears Funeral Home of Hilliard 5471 Frazell Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
