Charles Herbert Vann Sr.

Charles Herbert Vann, Sr., age 72, passed away on April 2, 2021 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born on February 16, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to parents Leoma Vann and Herbert Vann, Jr.  Charles attended Jessup Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio and graduated in 1967.  Post high school, he graduated from the Washington Police Academy in 1971 and went on to have a successful career in law enforcement that spanned more than thirty (30) years.  He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Charles Vann, Jr. of Columbus, OH, Latricia (Marlon) Perry and Traci Vann, three grandchildren Mikayla, Chyna, and Tayla Perry of Washington, DC; Cousin Cherri (Pete) Brooks and family of Toledo, OH; and special companion Pricilla Smith of Columbus, OH.  Jerry Spears Funeral Home assisted the family in their arrangements.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.  Please contact Jerry Spears Funeral Home at 1-614-274-5092.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Charles’ memory are asked to go to www.jerryspearsfuneralhome.com
