Charles Bedwell Stewart, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Charlie was a loving uncle, brother, son, and friend to many. Charlie graduated from Dublin Coffman High School in 2010 and was passionate about health and fitness. He was a fantastic athlete spending a lot of time playing basketball, golf, and frisbee golf. For Charlie there was no such thing as down time. Every ounce of his energy was spent making the most out of every minute. Charlie had an amazing ability to connect with everyone he met. He has changed the lives of addicts, those with special needs, the elderly, and really anyone he has met. He spent the majority of his working career giving back to others. He was very proud of the work he accomplished in the central Ohio community to get addicts off the street and in recovery. Charlie most recently worked in insurance following in his parents’ footsteps. Survived by his mother Merrilee, sisters Anne Robers and Lee (Tripp) Breitmayer, and four nieces and a nephew. Preceded in death by father William “Buck” Stewart and brother-in-law David Robers. He has touched many lives, and we would love to hear your memories of him. Visitation will be held at Jerry Spears funeral home 2693 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 1-4pm. A private family service will be held thereafter. Charles Bedwell Stewart will be laid to rest at a gravesite at Forest Grove Cemetery, 8270 Cemetery Pike, Plain City, Ohio 43064 (Section 15, Lot 48, Grave 3). In the spring of 2021, the family will purchase and install a custom monument in remembrance of and to honor our son, brother, uncle Charlie Bear and Bedwell to his many friends. Visitation is 7:30am to sunset every day.
