Bill Charles

Bill G. Charles, age 89, passed away August 21, 2024 at Doctors Hospital. Bill was a veteran of the US Army. Upon retiring from Westinghouse, he worked at Jeffrey Mining for 10 years before becoming a bus driving for Southwestern City Schools. He was a former pastor of Shining Light Baptist Church in Hilliard, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents, Golden and Ethel Charles; sisters: Josephine and Loraine; brothers: Homer, Denney, Charles, Russel, Don and Sunny. Survived by wife of 65 years, Linda Charles; daughter, Lori Newland; granddaughter, Shannon Harrison; brother, Alton Charles; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at  Jerry Spears Funeral Home 2693 W. Broad St 4-7 PM  Tuesday, August 27  where service will be held 11:30 AM  Wednesday, August 28. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
