William "Dave Ole" Moore Obituary

William David Moore, known by most as "Dave Ole", age 66, passed away March 28, 2025 at his Grove City residence.

He was born in Portsmouth Ohio on October 29th 1958, to the late Anna Lee and Earnest Moore

Dave was preceded in death by his grandfather William Snyder, daughter Shawna Hixon, brother Ricky Moore and brother in law James Few.

He is survived by his loving family, children, Anna (Donald Hesseling) Moore; siblings, Tina (Jairus) Moore Few; Nieces, Destiny (Doltan C) Few, Misty  Moore (Callaway),  Donnashay & Julie Few and Erica (jada); Nephews, Micah Few, Gary Few, Jeremy Uting, Skyler Williams, Jason (Kimberly) Merz; and great nephew Doltan Beau Sweeney; life long best friend Darryl Kelly;  and road dog of 40 years Ronda Ruffner. And many dear friends, extended family, and loved ones.

Recently In life Dave found a new love in engineering working for the Sheraton and Hyatt.

But was always a man of many passions and talents, known for his love of guitars, singing, writing, and motorcycles.

A dedicated lifelong musician at heart, he spent countless hours with his guitar, composing songs that reflected his soul and his love for life and family. He most definitely was a Rockstar since the day he was born. His music was his voice, and he found joy in sharing his art with others, we never had an event without Dave and his Guitar it was always a Party on the Patio.

A true adventurer at heart, Dave also found great joy in motorcycles and muscle cars. He embraced the freedom of the open road, feeling at home on his bike or driving his Torino; his heart beat in sync with their engines.

He was a hardworking man. Whether at work, in his garage, or on his cars/motorcycles he dedicated himself fully to all he did. He believed in doing things right, giving everything his best effort, and taking pride in the results; he always had a story to share about his latest project.

He was definitely a very dedicated fan of football and had a special place in his heart for OSU and the Cleveland Browns.

He never met a stranger and he never failed to help someone in need.

The best day of his life was when his daughter was born. His greatest joy was teaching her how to be a good person. She was the light of his life. He took great pride in raising a wonderful daughter and always told everyone about her.

He had a keen sense when it came to numbers so if you see 370 just know he’s saying hi. Especially in the outdoors as he was a lover of nature and enjoyed his “little piece of heaven” living in the woods with all his cats of whom he learned to love dearly.

Though he will be deeply missed, Dave leaves behind a legacy of love, music, faith, and hard work. His memory will live on through the songs he wrote, the stories he shared, the things he built and the many lives he touched. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him and he will never be forgotten.
