William Canterberry

William Gene Canterberry, age 66, passed away May 19, 2026 at his Groveport, Ohio residence. Gene lived in Memphis, TN most of his life and loved his city. He had great friends that called him Geno. His best friend Tim, who he has been friends with for 50 years, came to visit him the weekend before his passing. They were able to fly drones and model helicopters and airplanes that Gene had built. He enjoyed this so much! Preceded in death by father, Gene Canterberry and wife, Amy. Survived by mother, Gloria; children: Josh, Jake (Ashley), Jenna and Victoria; 3 stepchildren, which he thought of as his own; siblings: Pamela (Phil), Tina (Ron), Rebecca, Cathy (Todd), Karen, Melissa, and Gloria (Mark). Gene also leaves 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

It was my pleasure to take care of him for the past 4 years. It was not always easy but it gives me great comfort to know that I helped to extend his life and that we were able to get to remember our bond from our childhood.
