V. Ann Leighty

Virginia Ann (Reed) Leighty died on January 12, 2025. She was born in Quincy, Ohio; preceded in death by her parents, W. Knox Reed, Mary Isabelle (Patterson) Reed; her sister Helen Margaret (Peg) Sanders; who had twin sons – James R. Sanders (deceased); his wife, Ruth; John R. Sanders; his wife, Connie; and great nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her dearly beloved children: Carol Ann Scala (husband Phil); two step-grandchildren – Shannon Lynn (husband Bryan) with two great granddaughters Kaitlyn Joyce and Kristen Renee (great-great grandson Nash); Steven Lee (wife Melissa) and two great grandsons, Jayden Lee (great-great grandson Daniel Lee) and Jordan Andrew. Mary Jo Doran (husband Tim. N.); three grandchildren: Zachary Tyler (wife Briana); two great-grandchildren – James Andrew and Drew Ann; Megan Kirby (husband Kyle Schuchter) two great grandsons – Nash Timothy and Banks Walker; Kelly Ann (husband Justin Allen); two great grandchildren – Tanner Timothy and Hattie Ann. Joe R. Leighty (wife Karla); two grandsons – Lucas Reed (wife Krysten) two great grandchildren – Liam Reed and Lana Rae; Logan Robert Leighty. Peggy Sue Leighty – daughter who lived with her mother, Ann. Dear Friends: Sally Havens; Ellen & Mark Hardymon; John C. Havens, Thomas F. Havens; Suzy & Phil Nick.
Member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Graveside services at Northwood Cemetery early spring – Belle Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Maple Grove Music Department.
