Ruth Ann Cavanaugh

Ruth Ann Cavanaugh age 65 passed away Thursday September 25, 2025 at Doctors Hospital West. Ruth was a 1978 Graduate of Westland High School; later on she continued on into nursing school where she received a Degree Summa cum laude from Columbus State. She was very proud of this achievement. She spent her career as a nurse at Twin Valley Psychiatric Hospital, Doctors Hospital North, and then finally as home health nurse. Ruth loved gardening, especially planting orchids from seed. She was also very creative with arts and crafts. She loved making blankets, coats, quilts, and Christmas ornaments. Ruth will be deeply missed. Preceded in death parents George and Mary Stagakes. Survived by husband of 34 years, William Cavanaugh; sons: William Cavanaugh, Paul Litteral Jr and Christopher E Litteral; grandchildren: Hailey Rene Litteral, Annabella Marie Litteral, and Sophia Litteral; brother, Demetrios Stagakes; sister, Denise Olcese;  numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Thursday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Fr. Thomas Buffer celebrant. Interment Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
