Robert Ilsley

Robert “Bob” Charles Ilsley, born October 10, 1942, in the United Kingdom, passed away peacefully on March 1 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.  An only child, he carried with him a deep appreciation for family, home, and the simple joys of life.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Sophie Ilsley; his stepchildren, Linda Gallucci and her husband Michael, Christine Dangler and her husband Austin, and Brian So. He was a proud grandfather to Rawley, Ava, and Aubree; and to Brody, Braxton, and Brock.  He is also survived by brothers-in law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Bob retired from Honeywell International after a successful career that took him all over the world. He embraced travel through his work, but one of his most meaningful trips was taking Sophie back to his hometown in the United Kingdom to share the places and memories of his childhood.

In retirement, Bob found joy in the things he loved most. He was an avid fan of European football (soccer), dining out, and reading; especially history, a subject that he was endlessly curious about. On nice days you could find him sitting peacefully on his deck, admiring his beautiful yard, and enjoying the comfort of home.  Above all else, Bob loved being at home with his family.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of learning, his devotion to his family and the quiet contentment he found in life’s simple pleasures.
