Robert Brooks, age 93, passed away on January 8, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio.. Robert was fostered, then adopted by Hedwig and Edward Kelemen. He was raised on the Hilltop and graduated from West High School. He worked many years at The Hilltop Swim Club. He served as a medic in the Korean War before completing his 8 years of service at Lockbourne A.F.B. After serving, he found employment as a draftsman for the City of Hilliard until retiring at age 77. Known by friends for his generosity and charitable donations to those in need. He, along with his late childhood friend, Bob Williams, attended every OSU football home game for 50 years. Later in life, many became his advocates, which was Bob's final reward for his own life of goodness and generosity. Survived by Dian Canter and Clyde Whitlatch, which are the children of his late sister Dorothy Whitlatch. Private inurnment at Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements completed at JERRY SPEARS FUNERALHOME with CREMATORY.
