Rissie Wallace

Rissie Wallace of Columbus, OH passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025.  A proud mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her family.

Originally from Oak Hill, WV she spent numerous years living in Florida and Ohio where she would raise her family.  She was a proud mother of three and grandmother of four.

Rissie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rissie (Waller) Bonham and grandfather, Edmond York; mother, Hilda Joyce Huffman; and former husband, Charles Robert “Bob” Wallace.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Charles Robert Wallace Jr., and April Lynn (Garmon) Wallace of Buford, GA; son, Travis Shawn Wallace of Buford, GA; daughter, Kristen Marie Wallace of Galloway, OH; granddaughters, Jenna Nicole Wallace and Charlotte Lynn Wallace of Buford, GA; Hailey Marie Wallace and Kylie Mae Wallace of Galloway, OH; half-sisters Pamela Smith and Linda Mullen of VA.  Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. 

In addition to being a doting grandmother, Rissie was an avid animal lover.  Thus, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Franklin County Dog and Animal Adoption Center located at 4340 Tamarack Blvd., Columbus, OH 43229.

Cremation services have been provided by Jerry Spears Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial service plans will be forthcoming and announced at a later date.
