Ralph Wise

Ralph E. Wise, age 66 died on  March 20, 2021 peacefully at his home in South Bloomfield, Ohio.  He was born on November 3, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to Alva and Mary Wise. Ralph was a rare combination of someone who had a love for life and a firm understanding of what was important- the simplicity of living a life with those you love.
When he wasn’t driving down the highway in his 18-wheeler he enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Marietta, Ohio sitting in front of a well-made fire telling the most unforgettable stories. Many called him the Deer Slayer, as he was an avid hunter while others knew him as “Wreck-It Ralph” for his candid personality with a gigantic heart who lived by his own rules, paving his own way and if anyone told him he couldn’t he would show you he could. He was a devoted & loving father to Danielle Williams ( Michael Kibbey ), Angela Mares ( Chad Mares ) and Ralph Wise Jr (April Wise). He was an amazing and doting Pappaw to Kayla Williams, Charlie Williams, Rachael Kibbey, Camden Mares and Ralph Wise 3rd. He was an even greater Pappaw to 3 great grandchildren Nala Wolfe, Braxton Williams, Carsen Williams who he loved so much! He is preceded in death by his fiance of 30 years Kathy Williams, his 3 brothers Alan, Herman and Walter Wise and his 2 sisters Effie- Mae and Mary Louise. In lieu of flowers or donations the family ask that you take a moment to hug your child, your grandchild, your parents, your family and friends as time waits for no one. Arrangements have been completed at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W Broad St.
