Patty L Prince

Born in Columbus, OH to the late Jean (Miller) and E. Wayne Bradshaw. West High School, Class of 1957. Retired from the State of Ohio. 

Survived by daughter, Lisa (Christopher) Neuman, bonus daughter, Melonie Dolin and grandchildren, David, Elizabeth (Courtney) Nester. Cody Ferrell, and Taylor McFarland. Two great grandchildren, Airyanna and Bristol. Bonus grandkid, Ashlee, And her fur baby, Rosie.

Her great loves throughout life were her family, and animals. Patty’s spirit will live on in all of us and in the memories that we hold dear. Everyone seems to have a special “Patty story” and that’s what will keep her forever here. 

Patty spent the last 18 years of her life at Seton West, where she made many special friends, and in particular her best friend, Ms. Thelma Calhoun. 

Another special extended family member is Mrs. Heather Clary, her aide of many years. Heather was with us up to the very end (literally) and we are beyond grateful. Patty was a big believer in the fact that it was love and not blood that makes family. Heather this makes you one of us and we love you for all that you do.

In addition we’d like to recognize Ohio Health Hospice. Especially her nurses  Ben and Sarah. She shared many laughs and special moments with them. Thank you for all of your guidance, caring, and support. As much as she made you laugh, you made her smile through some of the worst times. Her family will always remember you for this. 

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy, and grandson Rickey.

Per Patty’s request there will be no formal services. She always said “if you can’t come see me when I’m alive you don’t need to see me when I’m dead”. There will be a graveside service to inter her cremains at a later date.  Arrangements completed at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory.
