Nancy Deskins, age 83, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at her residence. Nancy was a loving wife of 65 years and a wonderful loving mother to her two children and was also the greatest grandma and great grandma. She was a graduate of Central High School and worked for Transamerica, Stewart and Smiley and retired from Burwinger and Overmeyer. Nancy was an active member at Bible Community Church and was a longtime member of the choir where she and her late husband Jerry R. Deskins began the bible community food pantry and it was continued for multiple years. Her hobbies included being known as Betty Crocker as Mom loved to cook and bake. She loved shopping and was a giver, always doing and helping others in any way that she could. Mom loved her log cabin and quilts. She was also a Mommy to numerous cats and animals that showed up at her and Jerry's cabin. Mom was a Mom to everyone that needed guidance and love and friendship. Preceded in death by, parents, Harry and Opal Mae Glick, husband, Jerry Deskins, grandson, Brandon Michael Deskins, brothers and sisters, Shelby Davis Glick, Michael Glick, Ronnie Glick, Dennis Glick and Lloyd Glick. Survived by, children, Jerry M. Deskins and Kimberly Deskins Vance, grandchildren, Aaron, Zach, Raven, Taylor, Little Z, Brian (Mariah) and Brad (Sophia), great grandson, Roman, brothers and sisters, Donna (Mike) Rice, Diana Harmon and Brian (Linda) Glick, close friend and former son in law, Brian Vance, numerous other great grandchildren, loved ones, family and friends.
Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Tuesday, May 5,, 2026 from 11- 1 PM where service will follow at 1 PM. Pastor Bud Brown officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
