Mary (Mercurio) Swartz

Mary Catherine (Mercurio) "Granny" Swartz, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Carriage Court of Grove City. She was a longtime member of Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Previous Madam President of The Eagles. Preceded in death by, husband, William, parents, Joseph and Rose Mercurio, sons, William and Joseph Swartz, grandsons, Carl Harris Jr and William Swartz II, brother, Joseph Mercurio, son in law, Edward Longberry, sister in law, Wanetta Mercurio. Survived by, daughter, Rosemary Longberry, grandchildren, Cathy Tipton, Kimberly (Ray) Jerome, Cherie (Bert) Thompson, Teresa James, Joseph Swartz II, Cynde (Dave) Whitt, Tony (Chantel) Swartz, Kelly (Glenn) Bell, longtime companion of 38 years, Charles Stephens, daughters in law, Jackie Sullivan and Cynthia Swartz, 15 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, numerous special nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 11-1 PM where service will follow at 1 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Transitions Care of Columbus, 250 E. Wilson Bridge Rd., Suite 110, Worthington, OH, 43085, in Mary's name.
