Mary Cross Obituary

Mary Kathleen Cross, known to family and friends as Kathy or Kacydoc, passed away suddenly at her home on July 19, 2021 in Ballston Spa, New York. Kathy was born October 27, 1966 to John F. Cross and Lena (Nicki) Schwind Cross. She was a Bishop Ready High School graduation where she played all “girls” varsity sports, later attended Miami University and earned a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Physiology and went on to Logan University to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Kathy enjoyed sports of any kind but particularly college and professional football and major league hockey. She never gave up her love of the OSU Buckeyes and when she was in Missouri she was a great fan of the St. Louis Rams and even taught her 1 1/2 year old niece to shout "GO Rams" much to the chagrin of her father. She loved all holidays, her favorites were St. Patrick's Day and Halloween. She met her spouse, Connie Styrk in St. Charles, Missouri, they then moved to New York to begin new employment. Later they would marry and have two children, Keegan Kathleen and Luke Cosimo Crosstyrk. Preceded in death by grandparents: Fred and Mary Cross and Bill and Rosie Schwind. In addition to her spouse and children, she is also by her parents and brothers John F. Jr (Martha) and Michael P. (Kitty); 4 nieces, 1 nephew and 2 great-nieces, 4 aunts and uncles and many cousins.
