Mary Carter

Mary Jane Carter, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Grant Medical Center. Longtime and faithful member of Saint Aloysius Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed watching wrestling, Young and the Restless, Bold and the Beautiful, church when she couldn't attend, cowboy movies and Elvis Presley. She also loved playing the lottery, numbers of any kind, doing crossword puzzles and her snowball cakes. She will be dearly missed. Preceded in death by, parents, Francis and Laura Houston, sons, Bennett and Leroy Carter Jr., sister, Barbara (Gregory)  Chapple, brothers, George, James , Joseph (Geraldine) and Charles. Survived by, husband, Leroy, children, Michael (Jacqueline) Houston, Mary  L. Carter and Charles Carter, sister, Marjorie Lovan, brother, Marvin Houston, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5-8 PM. Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, 2165 W. Broad St. Father Lawrence Tabi, Celebrant. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
