Mary Bebout Obituary

Mary Bebout (Smith) born on January 20, 1941 went home to be with her lord and savior on April 24th 2026. She passed away peacefully with family by her side, after her long and courageous battle of fighting cancer, and most recently a horrible stroke. She was a fighter, that’s for sure.

Mary was always so loving, and giving. She was an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin, mom, grandma, great grandma, friend, last but not least an amazing wife.

Mary is survived by her husband of 43 years Kenneth Bebout, her children Craig Smith, and Mary Ann Smith (Rick), daughter in law Kayla, son Mark and his family, son Brian and family, son Bobby and family, cousin Kathy Tilley, grand children Rochelle (John) Taylor, Jennifer (Brandon) Bear, Shawn Smith, Jesse and his wife, Allen Friend, September (Paul) Lund, Jessica (Tim) Gill, and so many more grandchildren and great grand children, friends and other family. I’m sure I’m missing some other relatives as well in this but there’s a lot.

Mary is proceeded in death by her parents Melvina and Alonzo Smith, her sons Anthony Tilley, Jeff Tilley and forever her daughter in laws Helen Tilley and Tina Smith, and great grandson Jordan. They will all be waiting at the pearly gates of heaven with arms wide open.

She was an avid church goer at Whiteoaks Baptist Church. She loved to go to yard sales, working on word searches or just sitting on her front porch.

Jennifer I personally wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for your grandpa and dad, and holding your grandmas hand when she took her last breath. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there, with starting a new job. I know this wasn’t an easy thing to do, but you did it. I’ve done it. I’ll always be here.

Allen I personally wanna say thanks to you as well, for being there with Craig, Jen and your grandpa during this difficult time. For continuing to help Craig as he hasn’t been the in the greatest health, and now with the loss of his entire world. For making sure your grandpa got home from the hospital the night she passed.

Celebration of life will be planned for a later date if Kenny wants to do one.

Gone for now, forever loved and missed. Keep watching over us. We’ll continue to take care of pops mama.
