John Chapman

John Michael Chapman, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Prestige Gardens in Marysville, OH. John was a the former Chief of Police of the Valleyview Police Department. 1988 graduate of West High School. He loved to play darts and fish. John was an avid Ohio State football fan and of NASCAR,  loved all sports, including watching baseball and softball. Preceded in death by, father, Michael Chapman, maternal grandparents, Orn Gale and Evelyn Roberts, paternal grandparents, Eugene Chapman and June (James) Knight. Survived by, children, Jessyca (Jeremiah) Blaney and Michael Chapman, mother, Cathy Chapman, former wife and mother of children, Valerie Langhirt, brothers, William "Joey" (Mary) Chapman and Marty (Sandy) Chapman, nieces and nephews, Brad, Maddy, Mitchell, Carly, Josh, Zac, Richard, Kaitlyn, Samantha, Alec, Brittany and Matthew, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday, May 15, 2023 from 4-7 PM where service will follow at 7 PM.
