John Biehl

John Edward Biehl, age 85, of Columbus (previously of Marietta) passed away Monday, May 25, 2026. Survived by his loving family, sons John (Erin) Biehl of Westerville and Robert (Michelle) Biehl of Columbus; grandchildren Amber, Bob and John; sister Katherine Ann Siddall of Pennsylvania; and nieces and many friends. John was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 45 years, Ruthanne. John served in the US Navy and was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone, from which he retired early after 27 years of service. In addition to spending time with his friends and family, John spent numerous hours volunteering at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and enjoyed meeting monthly with his high school classmates in person and online. Arrangements are being cared for by JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St. Memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 12 Noon at Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, 775 Galloway Road, Galloway, OH, 43119. Pastor Dwayne Shugert officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Mid Ohio Food Collective.
