Jo Ann Shirey, born June 25, 1964, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and closest friends, on September 7, 2021. Preceded in death by, mother, Dorothy Shirey, father, Charles Shirey, brothers, Buddy Tomak, Barry Tomak, Larry "Butch" Tomak, Timothy Tomak and Jeff Tomak, sister, Patricia Yasika. Survived by, brother, Randy (Doretta) Shirey, sisters, Pamela Cody and Linda Egts, nephews, Buddy (Kari) Tomak II, Danny (Sheryll) Tomak, Rocky (Gabbie) Tomak, Brad (Mindi) Coffman and James Shirey, nieces, Tina Tomak, Leeann Andrews, Crystal Shirey, Brandi Shirey, Haley Tomak and Melissa Tomak, great nephew who she considered her own, Braden Tomak, many other great nieces and nephews that she loved with all of her heart. Jo Ann was a leader, she was tough and believed in hard work. She was courageous, stubborn, reliable, a mother to most and a best friend to all as well as a fighter until the end. She was an amazing, strong woman and left memories with each of her family members and friends that will forever be cherished. Funeral services will be held at Discovery Church, 750 Cross Pointe Rd., Suite I, Gahanna, OH, 43230, on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Arrangements have been completed at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St. You will never be forgotten Jo Ann. We love you. Until we meet again.
