Jessica Erin Howard (September 4, 1979 – May 4, 2025)
Jessica Erin Howard, (née Levi), 45, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at her home.
Jessica was born on September 4, 1979, in Columbus, Ohio, with music in her soul and a microphone in her hand. She graduated from Westerville South High School in 1997, where she shined in choir and ensemble, as well as in softball and soccer. She went on to attend Judson College where she played soccer—until she discovered exams were also a part of the deal! Jessica was a longtime member of Karl Road Baptist Church, where she formed deep and lasting friendships.
Whether in sports, music, or life, Jessica met challenges with fire and heart. She wrote, recorded, and performed music throughout her life. In 2002, she competed in The Nashville Star contest and made it to the regional finals, where she performed an original song written in honor of her sister Jamie, who had passed away the year before. Losing Jamie, her rock, was one of the deepest hardships of her life. She found strength, joy, and laughter in her unbreakable bond with her younger sister, Abi, and continued living life fully and faithfully.
Jessica’s love for her children and Jesus was fierce and relentless; her devotion will have an eternal impact. A few words to describe Jessica: Captivating, Magnetic, Fragile,Strong, Coach, Healer, Kind, Courageous, Creative, Insightful, Talented, Gifted, Beautiful.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Keith Howard; her children, Kael, Jonas, and Xander; her step-children, Dakota and Makenzie; her mother, Becky Yoho; her father, Ron Levi; her sister, Abigail McBride (Zach); her mother-in-law, Ruthann Howard; brothers-in-laws Steve Howard(Meilan), Craig Howard (Michelle), Jason Howard (Louise), and Bryan Howard; her aunts Sandra Lee and Sharon Fisher (Jack); her uncle, Jeff Richardson; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jamie Levi, her aunt Jodie Lee, and her stepfather Chuck Yoho.
