Jerry Deskins

Jerry Ray Deskins, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at his residence. Jerry was a retired detective with The Columbus Police Department. Graduate of Central High School. Jerry was an avid hunter, ranging from small game like duck, geese, squirrel and rabbits then advancing to larger game like bear, deer, turkey and wild boar. He will greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Preceded in death by, parents, Wade and Hazel Deskins Sr., brothers, Mark, Wade Jr and John Paul, grandson, Brandon Deskins. Survived by, loving wife of 64 years, Nancy, children, Jerry M. Deskins and Kimberly Deskins, grandchildren, Aaron, Zach, Raven, Taylor, Jeremiah, Brad and Brian, great grandfather, Roman, brother, Ronald Deskins, sister, Mary Johnson, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 11-1 PM where service will follow at 1 PM. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
