Janet Jones

Janet Sue Jones, age 69, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with kidney disease.

Janet was born on April 17, 1956, in Caruthersville, Missouri. In 1991, she relocated to Columbus,, Ohio, where she built a fulfilling life and meaningful career. She retired in 2023 from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, where she was a dedicated and respected member of the team.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elvis “Skeet” Jones and Lottie Mae Jones (née Blankenship), as well as five sisters and one brother.

Janet is survived by her loving long-time partner, Craig Reeves; her sons, Christopher Jones (Leatonya) and Joseph Coram (Danielle); and her cherished granddaughters, Carmella Coram and Joselynn Coram. She also leaves behind her sister, Debbie Hood (Tony), and her brothers, Elvis “Buddy” Jones (Jan), John Jones and James Jones (Connie).

Janet will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

There will be a gathering of family and friends beginning at 6pm Friday, September 12 at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Road, with memorial service at 6:30pm.
