James Montenaro Sr

James M. Montenaro Sr., age 91, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Inniswood Health and Rehabilitation Center. He retired from Sears Warehouse after many years. James was a member of the Columbus Deaf Club for almost 60 years. A former professional wrestler in the 1950's, his wrestling name was "Silent Montenaro". Preceded in death by, parents, Michael and Mary Montenaro, son, Jimmy Montenaro, brother, Ralph Montenaro, sister, Betty Chapman. Survived by, grandchildren, Jimmy Montenaro III and Isabella Montenaro, great grandchild,  Asher Dean Montenaro, sister, Grace Gilmore, close family friend of 34 years, Debra Ellis, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11-1 PM where service will follow at 1 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery.
