Harold "Gene" Anderson Jr

Harold "Gene" Eugene Anderson Jr., age 80, born March 9, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Gene was a proud Veteran of The United States Marine Corp (USMC), serving in Vietnam.  Member VFW and American Legion. He was the owner operator of G&L Truck Services. Gene was an avid outdoorsman, often loving to fish, boat and hunt. He also was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He will be missed.

Preceded in death by, grandparents, Burkey and Rhoda Anderson, parents, Harold Anderson Sr and Bessie Anderson, brother, Chuck Anderson, sisters, Judy Rutherford and Rosie Nutt. Survived by, wife of 35 years, Elaine Anderson, daughters, Heidi (K.C.) Hickman, Sherri (Jeff) Elliott and Gena (Chris) Tobias, grandchildren, Ryan (Amanda) Hickman, Ashton (Matt) Foster, Drew Orton, Zachary Hickman, Dakota Hickman, Ross Elliott, Kendall Elliott, Teddy Tobias and Benny Tobias, great grandchildren, Caleb, Caiden, Ryan Jr., Sarah, Gabe, Brayden, Selah, Henry and Noah, sister, Rita (Jeff) Riddlebarger,  numerous other family and friends,

Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday, August 10, 2026 from 4-7 PM where service will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Interment Sunset Cemetery, where military honors will be presented by The United States Marine Corp (USMC).
