Gregg Montenaro

Gregory Allen Montenaro, 65, of Hilliard, formerly of Clintonville died Friday, June 5th, 2026. He was born August 8th, 1960 in Clintonville, to the late Robert and Barbara Montenaro. He married Patty Montenaro (Mackey) on September 24th, 1988 in Marysville.

A devoted husband and papa, he was formerly a police officer, retired chief of police and spent many years as a gas plumber with a passion for making pizza. He spent the last few years as a lunch man and recess monitor to many beloved children. He attended New California Presbyterian Church. He loved his motorcycle and traveling and enjoyed children’s sporting events.

Preceded in death by his brother Patrick Montenaro. Survivors include his brother Christopher Montenaro, his children Derek Montenaro, Dustin Montenaro, Tiffany (Nicholas) Smith, David (Kala) Montenaro; 4 grandchildren Gabriel, Stella, William and Olivia.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 19th at New California Presbyterian Church, 10089 Industrial Pkwy Marysville OH 43040 with visitation starting at 4 and service starting at 5.There will be a dinner following the service.

In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to the Norwich Township Fire Department. Checks can be made out to The Norwich Township Firefighter Benevolent Fund and sent to P.O. Box 5 Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
