Elizabeth McCoy

Elizabeth (“Betty) Johanna McCoy of Powell, Ohio recently passed away at the age of 82. She passed peacefully and comfortably in her sleep on December 28, 2025. She is now with her beloved husband, Michael Anthony, and daughter, Elizabeth Karen, whom she lost twelve and 28 years ago respectively. She married her beloved husband, Michael, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family traditions.
Elizabeth was always active with friends, community and charitable organizations. Her most recent endeavors were active participation with the Women’s Club of Powell and My Very Own Blanket where she was one of several “Angels Making Blankets.” This is an organization very near and dear to her heart as her husband was an orphan and his life and story inspired much of her drive.
She is survived by her son, Michael Joseph, daughter-in-law, Diane, grandson Colin, granddaughter Kelsey and great grandson Ezekiel. Her love and passion for her family were unsurpassed. Her family was her passion and strength. She loved sharing stories and pictures of her family with friends and relished any opportunity to do so. Never was there hesitation for Betty to update everyone who would listen to the stories of her family.
Betty is also survived by her brother, Joseph, his wife Linda, nephews Kevin, Keith and his wife Elizabeth (Beth) and Daughter Sheay, and numerous cousins.

Local arrangements are being completed with JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell. Interment Saint Ann's Cemetery, Avon, CT.
