David "Flintstone" Garten

David Wayne Garten aka "Flintstone", age 45, passed away, suddenly, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Doctor's Hospital West. He never met a person who didn't like him. It didn't matter where he was, he would always know someone wherever he went. He was loved by many people and will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by mother, Carolyn Garten; grandparents, Wanda and Jack Wright, George JR and Shirley May Green; aunt, Linda Lowery; uncle, Jerry Wright; cousin, Joseph "Drew" Ball.

Survived by children: David Garten Jr., Issac Garten and Noah Garten; father, John Karr; siblings: Christina Wright, Jason (Easter) Wright, Arlena (Charles) McAllister,  Misty Garten, Mary (Manuel) Velazquez, Benny Roberts Jr and Roseann Grubb; many nieces, nephews, cousins (who are more like siblings), and many, many friends.

Friends may call Monday, March 2 from 6-8pm at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., service to follow at 8pm.
