David Lavelle Muir

David L. "Whitey" Muir, age 56, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. David was born to the late Emerson and Mary Barbara Muir. He was preceded in death by brother Phillip and grandson Michael Beaver. David is survived by his children: Michael (Amanda) Beaver, Nicholas (Christina), Sarah and fiancee Nick Salemi and grandchildren: Nevaeha, Anastashia, Alexia, Destiny, Kayden, and Connor. David is also survived by siblings Jim (Judy), Judy (Norm) Parrish, Pam (Don) Dolby, Katie (Bill) Brintinger, Shelley (Rick) Dulin, Barbie (Chris) Marchese and sister in law Doris. David was a life long Westsider, a proud plumber, Brown's and Buckeye fan, Briggs High School band member and stage hand for Black Leather Touch. He loved fishing and telling tall tales. He found comfort in being a Catholic. Rest in peace David, Whitey, Tucky, Man with Three Names; you will be missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Altercare of Hilliard for their compassionate care of David and to Becky Coldren for her ministry and discipleship. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 West Broad St, Columbus 4-8pm on Wednesday, February 21, memorial service at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel St Joseph Cemetery Thursday, February 22 at noon.
