Dale Thomas

Dale A. Thomas, age 65, passed away, peacefully, at home on Sunday, April 6, 2025.  He was a 1978 graduate of Columbus West High School. An avid athlete of both baseball and football, he played for Holly Hill, the Westside Chargers, the Westgate Hawks before playing for the West High Cowboys. Dale was a proud veteran of The United States Navy, where he was part of VA 196, stationed at Whidbey Island, Washington, aboard the USS Coral Sea, from 1979-1983. He was a longtime employee with Sears before retiring from Matheson Gas.  Preceded in death by, father, John Thomas, son, Timothy Sexton, 9 brothers and sisters in law. Survived by, wife, Kimberly, sons, Craig (Nicole) Bond, Brandon (Tina) Stroud, James Stroud and Dylan (Melissa) Stroud, daughters, Tiffany (Justin) Rieger, Daniela (Ryan) Morgan, Mindy (Rick) Gillespie and Paige (Bill) Stroud, mother, Carolyn Thomas, grandchildren, Luke, Owen, Anthony, Alexis, Drea, Elizabeth, Landon, Isabella, Liam, Alina, Keaton, Lily, Lillyan, Conner, Madison, Emma and Ella, brother, Ron (Jerrud) Thomas, sister, Stacey (Trent) Thomas, brother in law, Richard (Sarah) Bond, sister in law, Wendy (Dwight) Gilpin, close family friend, Dianne Krebs, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Rd., Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where service will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11 AM.
