Charlotte Ann Smith, age 83, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025.
Born on July 12, 1942, Charlotte lived a life defined by devotion—to her family, her faith, and her community. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, humor, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilbur Smith; her parents, Mason and Neva Hedrick; and her brother, Eugene Hedrick.
She is survived by her children Mark (Annette) Smith and Lori (Donald) MacLeod; her cherished grandchildren Zach (Allison Lytle) MacLeod, Rachel (Jake) Zeek, Alex MacLeod, Eric MacLeod, Brent (Zelia Carvalho) Smith, and Cassidy Smith; and her adored great-grandson Dawson Zeek, who brought her immense joy in her final months. Charlotte is also survived by her brother Mike (Sherry) Hedrick and sister Sharon (John) McClelland, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Charlotte will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her warm hospitality, and her ability to make everyone feel valued and cared for. She had a gift for nurturing others, and her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A graveside burial will take place at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life the same day from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Crooked Can Brewery, located inside the Center Street Market, 5354 Center Street, Hilliard, Ohio. Food and refreshments will be provided.
