Charles Foster-Downs

Charles Edwards Foster-Downs, age 80, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at his residence. He was the longtime owner/operator of Charlies Place Bar on Glenwood and Sullivant Avenue. Charles was a proud veteran on both The United States Army and Army National Guard for over 20 years, serving in Vietnam. He also served as the Quartermaster for many years at the VFW. He will be missed.   Preceded in death by, parents, David and Hilda Downs, brother, James Michon. Survived by, children, Heidi Foster, Charles Foster II and Jackie (David) Dials, grandchildren, Angel, Joseph, Kacey, Little Charlie, Tiffany, Jennifer, Brittany, Stephanie, Christopher, Jessica, David Jr, Michael, Tierra and Brianna, great grandchildren, Baby James, Clayton, Nathan, Bella, Ariel, Ethen, Bobby Joe, Nova, Mariah, Jordan, AJ, Madi, Max, Hazel, Adrian, Adolin, Kennedi, Marcus and Alana, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 4-7 PM where service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, February 19, 2026. Interment Good Hope Cemetery, Washington Courthouse, OH.
