Charles Patrick Diamond, known to many as “Chuck” or “Stoney,” passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60 on April 17, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.
While he spent most of his life on the south and west sides of Columbus, Charles proudly stood apart as a dedicated Michigan football fan — something anyone who knew him wouldn’t let him forget.
He lived life on his own terms and was known for his strong personality, sense of humor, and his “idgaf/ftw” attitude that made him unforgettable to those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Russell; his adoptive father, Jack Diamond; his biological father, Charles Buechner; his son, Charles Diamond II; and Rebecca Bryant, the mother of his children.
He is survived by his children, Courtney Diamond, Jeffrey Bryant, and Tiffany Williamson; his girlfriend, Elizabeth Walker; her children & grandchildren; his cousins, Venicia O’Conner & Tina Shell; his aunts, Patricia Messmer and Pam Snyder; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members & friends who were very close to him; and his beloved grandchildren, Layla Diamond, Charles Diamond III, Jayden Ewing, Lily Diamond, and Bentley Hall.
Charles spent many years working in asphalt, where he took pride in hard work and providing for his family. More recently, he worked at Mark Gray’s, where he remained until just a couple of months before his passing.
Outside of work, he loved Harley motorcycles, good drinks, and good company. He enjoyed smoking and drinking, living life freely and unapologetically. He was a true ladies’ man who never missed a chance to flirt and make someone smile, and his humor and charm were a big part of who he was.
He will be remembered for his bold spirit, his humor, and the way he stayed true to himself no matter what. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
You lived life your way, always. I’ll miss you more than words can say.
Love you forever, Dad. Save me a spot. Hope you’re pain and worry free, having a drink with all of your family right now.
Diamonds are forever—just like us.
I’ll think of you every time I see skulls and crosses… I know that was your thing.
