Brent Albertson

Brent Daniel Albertson, age 57, a caring husband, dad, son, brother and friend, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Riverside Hospital, after an intense and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  Anyone who knew Brent saw that people gravitated to him and he absolutely lit up a room. His infectious personality and sense of humor were truly second to none. He was one of those guys that, from a very early age, was so good at everything but always remained a gentleman and a gracious winner. A 1978 graduate of Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern High School, Brent accepted a golf scholarship to Ole Miss, later transferring to Michigan State, where he received his degree in 1982. He was the co-owner/operator of Pinnacle Sales. A proud "Spartan", he was always the first to suggest watching Michigan State football and basketball. He was a die-hard Lions fan, saying many times he just wanted to live long enough to see them win a Super Bowl. There was rarely a time that he would pass up a game of craps at any casino that could handle his constant chattering of "Here we go, Shooter!" An enormously gifted golfer, he won Club Championships at Hickory Hills, Wedgewood, Moundbuilders and Egypt Valley Golf Clubs over the years, and he qualified for the Michigan and Ohio Amateurs 18 times. He will be missed by so many people. Preceded in death by, father, Daniel. Survived by, wife, Whitney; daughters, Stephanie and Katerina; stepsons, Spencer and Parker; mother, Maribeth (Pearsall); brothers, Chris (Sally), Andy (Amy) and Eric; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many many friends. There will be a gathering of friends at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday, June 25, 2018 from 4-7 PM.
