Bill Caines age 91 passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at his residence. Bill was born and raised in Turkey Creek, Pike County, Kentucky. Bill's old stomping grounds were in Williamson W.Va, Mingo County where he worked at Mingo Lime and Lumber; Although his heart remained in Turkey Creek Ky, He took the hillbilly highway US Route 23 to Columbus for a "temporary stay" which lasted the rest of his life. In Columbus he retired from Lennox Heating and Cooling Co; Member Westview Alliance Christian and Missionary Church; Bill also proclaimed to be the mayor of N. Chase Ave. from 1966-2012 because he never met a stranger there. He then moved to Westerville, OH to be close to his daughter and grandchildren whom he loved very much. Preceded in death by wife, Polly Belcher Caines; parents, Richard and Evelyn Caines; brothers, Robert Earl, Richard Jr, James, and Bennett; sisters, Garnett, Ethel, Helen, Evelyn, and Marcell. Survived by daughter, Patty (Brian Loftus) Caines Zwick; favorite granddaughter, Tori Zwick; grandsons, Andy, Tyler, and Adam "Big Dog"; special thanks nieces Jeannie Price and Nikki Price for all of their love and care for Bill; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home 2693 W. Broad St Monday 4-7 P.M where service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday. Pastor Aaron Dillon officiating, Interment Sunset Cemetery.
