Barbara Feldbush

Barbara Ann (Gasaway) Feldbush, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026. Born on January 29, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, she lived a life marked by faith, compassion, service, and unconditional love.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Barbara drew strength, comfort, and purpose from her relationship with God, and she expressed that faith through a life of kindness, generosity, and compassion. As a nurse, she spent much of her life caring for others, bringing comfort, healing, and dignity to those in need and treating each person with warmth and kindness.

Barbara especially loved laughter, even through tears, and found joy in humor and happiness. She kept a large joke book, collected jokes to share, and had a deep love of history. Her legacy lives on through her family, the values she instilled, the prayers she offered, and the love she shared so freely.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Feldbush, who passed away in October 2024.

Barbara is survived by her sons Chris (Suzy), Mark (Lisa), Bill (Jeanette), Lou, and Chuck (Becky); her 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; stepdaughters, Lisa Burnside and Laura Peretti, 8 step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who will always hold her memory close.

A Memorial Service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Rd. Hilliard, Ohio 43026 on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by calling hours until 4:00 p.m.

The family invites friends and loved ones to continue celebrating Barb’s life following the calling hours at Lucky's Grille and Sports Pub, 5387 Roberts Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026. This time together will be an opportunity to share stories, laughter, memories, and the love that reflected the life Barb lived.
