Angel "Smiley" Chavez Cruz

Angel U. "Smiley" Chavez Cruz, age 34, was identified as passing on January 16, 2025. Missing for 7 months, he was making his way to America from Mexico, losing his life on this journey here. Survived by children, William, Angel and Dariela, mother, Rufina Chavez Cruz, mother of his children, Guadelupe, 6 brothers and sisters, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday, March 31, 2025 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass, 10 AM Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Father Thomas Buffer, Celebrant. Interment Galloway Cemetery.
