Robert J. Butcher, age 82, passed away August 9 at his Pataskala home. Veteran U.S.Army. Retired highway truck driver. Past commander American Legion Post #182. He enjoyed fishing, karaoke, and playing slot machines at Scioto Downs. Preceded in death by: wife, Katherine; step-son, Anthony Spencer; first wife, Virginia. Survived by: 7 children: David Butcher, Denise (Frank) Specie, Donald (Jeri) Butcher, Mary (Todd) Butcher, Margaret (R.J.) Butcher-Shaw, Patty (Scott) Robbins, Jennifer (David) Adkins; 4 step-children: Carlina (Bill) Hickman, Joe Spencer, Cindy Spencer and Woody Spencer; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory, 2693 W. Broad St., Wednesday, August 14 from 4-7 PM.
