Kathryn Allen

Kathryn  Allen, age 82, passed away Saturday, September 7 at her columbus residence. 1955 Central High School Graduate. Retired after 22 years of service at Heinzerling Developmental Center. Kathryn loved spending time with family, especially grandchildren, and she never met a stranger. Preceded in death by parents: Walter and Jane Matheny; husband, Mark Allen "Marty" in '94; son-in-law, Larry Toland "Moose"; sisters: Doris "Jerry" Hopper, Ann Alderman, Sandra Matheny; brother, Charles "Buddy" "Les" Matheney. Survived by children: Linda Toland and Mark Allen; grandchildren: Cody Toland, Ashley (Branden Fisher) Toland; great grandchildren: Jacob Morris, Blake Toland, Kenton Toland and Brady Toland,; brothers: James "Jim" "Butch" (Jean) Matheny, Walter "Cleve" (Karen) Matheny; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St., Tuesday, 5-8pm, where service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, Pastor Dale George officiating. Interment Alton Cemetery.
