John Thomas Shasserre Jr. was born August 10, 1966 and on December 30, 2019, at the age of 53, he heard Gods call that his work here was done. He has been reunited with his loving parents Jack T. Shasserre and Rosemary Bowers, along with brothers: Steve, Rick and Gregory Madigan; his grandparents, and great niece, Cassidy Emmons. For those of of us left behind, aunts Dorothy Barrett and Joan Smugala; sister and brother-in-law Pamela and Richard Overmeyer; nephew, Jeremiah (Amber) Emmons; niece, Elizabeth Price; great nieces: Michaela (Kaleybug) Price and Mariah (Matthew) Cook; great nephews: Kyle Price, Alex, Jeremiah, Caden, Mason, Colton and Cayson Emmons; great-great nephews: Xavier Emmons and Miles Cook; best friend, David Hall; his baby Tiffany (Chihauhua) Shasserre; and numerous other family members and friends. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate the gift of his life, and the impact he leaves behind on each of our lives. We will find comfort that he is in Heaven free from pain, and joy that he was ours. Chow for now Johnny Boy. Arrangements are being completed at Jerry Spears Funeral Home with Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in John's name to the Kidney Foundation.
